This month I had a massage at the Medical in Downend, Bristol. When I entered reception I was asked to fill out a questionnaire. It was a standard questionnaire for everyone that signs up to the company which involved a lot of information about my medical history. A lot of it was irrelevant for me to simply have a massage. The massage therapist came down to collect me approximately five minutes after the time I was booked in for and led me into a room that looked like a doctors surgery. We had quite a thorough chat about what I wanted from the massage which I explained it was mainly to work on the knots in my back.
This was a deep tissue massage so nothing like the relaxing Swedish one that I usually have. However it was extremely useful and it was clear the therapist certainly knew what she was talking about even though she hadn’t been working there very long. She communicated very clearly and pushed as hard as I needed her to. They do a lot of other work here such as Physio, Osteopathy and Chiropractic treatments. I would certainly recommend this place if you have any sort of physical injury or need a massage that can really work at your knots and sore muscles.
