I received this as a free gift for attending one of Kevin Greens one day training seminars. It isn’t really so much a polished finished work but rather a paper which has been written by Kevin for the farming industry. It is the result of him travelling through Australia, New Zealand, USA and Ireland interviewing successful businessmen, entrepreneurs and farmers. I would guess that many years later he has edited it to fit in as an accompaniment to his live training event.
As he brings together the results of interviews from a number of successful business people, the content is very valuable. Unfortunately the punctuation, grammar and editing of the paper seems to be somewhat lacking. Kevin is openly dyslexic but still there is no reason it couldn’t have been proofread or edited slightly better.
However all in all it is a valuable piece that everyone can take something from. He explains how the mindset of all successful people enables them to “give things a go” and relentlessly work towards their vision. There is a good exercise you can do on page 43 where he lists down positive and negative thoughts. I rated myself on the list to analyse the areas I can improve on in my life.
Favourite quotes from the book: :
“Possession of a vision is inherent in all. Following one’s dreams results in a powerful driving force, most are constantly reviewing this process and adapting or renewing their dreams.” – Page 21
“The difference between the averageĀ person and an Entrepreneur is they are willing to have a go.” – Page 24
“Stress is a word that is not recognised, as it is an anomaly that occurs only when you’ve lost control.” – Page 27
“He who does not make a mistake does not make anything” – Page 27
“High achievers pre-empt change” – Page 43.
Chinese proverb Man who keep feet firmly on ground have trouble putting on pants” – Page 43.
