The Complete Guide To Property Investment by Rob Dix

This book was in the number one spot on Amazon when I searched for property investment. I have taken a course on property investment so was intrigued to see how much detail this book would have compared to a three day live course.

To be fair it does pack a decent amount of information into it’s pages and this version was only published in 2019 so is update on current legislation for the UK. I wouldn’t say there wasn’t anything I learned here that wasn’t on the three day course however it touches on a lot of key areas and if you are a beginner to property investing then this is a great book to get started with.

The book is divided into three sections.

Part one explains the different strategies available to investors. This covers what all investors need to know about their strategy and gets you thinking about what you want to achieve from investing in property, whether capital gains or monthly cash flow.

Part two is a step by step guide of how you go from the start of finding a property, financing it, appointing solicitors and eventually getting the keys and letting it out or refurbishing it.

The third and final part covers the bigger picture of setting your property portfolio up and surviving the natural property cycle of boom and bust.

A solid book giving you a good foundation for investing in property.
